Lab-7-Using Elastic IPs

An Elastic IP address is a Public IP that you may allocate to your account. An Elastic IP address is an static IP address which is  designed for the purpose of the dynamic cloud computing. An Elastic IP address is associate with the  AWS account. It is a public IP address, that can be accessed  from the Internet.

when ever an instance is created and if it does not have the public IP  address we can associate that instance with an Elastic IP  and enable the communication between the internet.

In this lab  we are going to use an Elastic IP’s in Amazon. we are going to perform

1)Allocate the IP address to the instance

2)Associate the IP address to the instance

3)re-associate with the replicated server ‘webserver02’

diagram

in order to associate an Ip to an instanec primarily  it must be added to the  aws accout of the individuals.once the association of the elastic IP address has been doone with the instance, its public IPV4 address is released bak into the Anazons pool of public Ipv4 addresses.once the association of elastic IP has done wthe the instance its public dns hostname will be changed t the elastic Ip.first we have to  create a new elastic IP address and it has to be  associated  with the  main  web server

Go to the EC2 dashboard in the  services Menu in the AWS Management Console. Click ‘Allocate New Address’ and next page, Click “Allocate”. An IP  address will be allocated as shown below

this is my elastic Ip

Screenshot (1103)now we have to  associate  newly created Elastic IP address with the  instance “WebServer5”. Go to the “Action” menu.  Select “Associate Address” and click on it.

Screenshot (1104)Now associate the instance with the Elastic IP. choose  Instance  Select the instance from the top down list and private IP. Then click on  “AssociateScreenshot (1105)Screenshot (1106)

the  instance and its  IP now  will be associated with the  Elastic IP Address. as shown belowScreenshot (1109)now  open the  browser from the  local computer . Run the  dinostore5 website. we  can see that running from the public DNS address. Now replace the public DNS address with the Elastic IP Address. It will work successfully opening the web page as shown belowScreenshot (1110)now iam going to associate the  Elastic IP address  with the AMI instance “webserver02″. Go to the Action menu from the Elastic IP  page. Choose the “associate address” and click on it. Screenshot (1114)now give the instance details that is the instance of “webserver02′Screenshot (1115)once it has successfully created it will be displayed as below.Screenshot (1116)It will display the below web page Screenshot (1117)

by this lab we can host the web page with the  elastic IP address.  I did not encountered  any problem during this lab.  hoping  you  too wont face any problem

Thank You……………………..!
