Lab-2-Configuring VMware ESXi

In this lab iam going to

1)Connect to an ESXi Host with the vSphere Client

2)View the Host Hardware Configuration

3)Configure the DNS and Routing Information for an ESXi Host

4)Configure an ESXi Host as an NTP Client

5)Configure an ESXi Host to Use Directory Services

VMware ESXi is an operating system.it is independent hypervisor dependent on the VMkernel operating system interfacing with various agents that are running on top of it . VMware vSphere ESXi is a host.it virtualizes various servers it is of bare metal type it utilizes lesser hardware components

we have  to create an ESXi Virtual machine host.

now , we have to install VMware vSphere client software that  helps in  logging  into the VMware ESXi host.

we have  to login to a VMware ESXi host by using the vSphere Client by giving the name my ESXI host name is host1 username is root and give the password

critical analysis:

VMware ESXi  is an enterprise-class, type-1 hypervisor developed by VMware for deploying and serving virtual computers. As a type-1 hypervisor, ESXi is not a software application that one installs in an operating system (OS); instead, it includes and integrates vital OS components, such as a kernel.

Adding the  vSphere hosts to an  Active Directory  simplify’s user management and helps in improve security.  It’s relatively easy to add local users to a hosts and to assign them administrative privileges, but if you have a lot of administrators the steps to configure each account will need to be repeated multiple times on each host.
